Celebrate Lexington Breakfast and Isabel Yates Community Champion Award

Celebrate Lexington is proud to invite you and your guests to our annual Breakfast & CommUNITY Champion Celebration—a special event honoring the people, partnerships, and spirit that make Lexington such an extraordinary community.

Enjoy a delicious breakfast buffet featuring specialties prepared by some of Lexington’s favorite local eateries.

We are honored to welcome Mayor Linda Gorton, who will share remarks and join us as we recognize past CommUNITY Champions and announce the recipient of the 2026 Isabel Yates CommUNITY Champion Award.

Our featured speaker, Jackson Osborne, will then explore the deep historical roots of the Bluegrass region, its lasting impact on America, and Lexington's role in the ongoing America 250 commemoration.

Breakfast buffet begins at 7:30 a.m.
Programming begins at 8:45 a.m.

Pollinator Week

Pollinator Week was initiated and is managed by Pollinator Partnership. In 2008, the U.S. Senate’s unanimous approval and designation of a week in June as “National Pollinator Week” marked a necessary step toward addressing the urgent issue of declining pollinator populations. Pollinator Week has now grown into an international celebration, promoting the valuable ecosystem services provided by bees, birds, butterflies, bats, beetles, moths, wasps, and flies.

Water Week

Water, water, everywhere! – though oftentimes unseen! Kentucky has over 90,000 miles of surface rivers and streams. Natural, underground waterways are also very present in Kentucky. Our annual Water Week event celebrates these waterways and highlights our role in protecting them.

Water Week includes events for all ages, abilities and interests.

Tree Week

Experience a week-long celebration dedicated to enhancing and appreciating Lexington’s tree canopy. Enjoy the trees and greenspaces throughout our city and region with friends and neighbors as we grow a healthy community by participating in: tree plantings, walks, tours, hikes, climate conversations, educational programs, arts, literature, yoga and more!
